A Beginner's Guide to Fingering Another Woman

Despite what porn would have you believe, fingering is probably the most common sexual activity among lesbians. Since most women have touched themselves, fingering another woman ought to come naturally, right? Yes, but fingering another woman is quite the same as fingering yourself. The following ten tips should help bridge the gap.

1) Trim your fingernails.

Short fingernails on lesbians are not just a fashion statement. Long fingernails can scratch the vagina, and that's every bit as bad as it sounds. It can really ruin the mood.

2) Don’t forget the lube!

When it comes to penetration, the wetter the better. Lube may not be necessary a lot of the time, but it's good to have when it is.

3) Start slowly.

No matter how long you've been wanting to touch another woman's vagina (or touch this particular woman's), don't go on the attack right away. Start slowly. Caress her vulva. Gently massage her clitoris. As she gets more turned on, you can pick up the pace and slide a finger inside when she's ready.

4) Try touching her the way you touch yourself.

To start with, try touching your lover the way you like to touch yourself. See how she reacts, and go from there.

5) But what you like might be different from what she likes.

Don't be crestfallen if your favorite moves don't do anything for your lover. It happens, and it's not you; it's her. Woman can be very different.

6) Switch up how you touch her.

It's great to get into a rhythm that you know works for your lover, but switch up your moves once in a while. The body tends to tune out sensations that are repeated for too long because it gets used to them. Keep your lover's nerve endings fresh and excited by trying a new move after awhile.

7) There's more than one fingering position.

Another way to switch things up is to switch positions. Fingering in a different position can change how what you're doing feels to your lover without actually changing techniques. For more, see my article 6 Best Lesbian Fingerring Positions.

8) Try the “come hither” gesture.

Curl your index and middle fingers gently move them back and forth inside your lover’s vagina. This is the best way to stimulate the G-spot. My article The G-Spot Orgasm: How to Make Your Lover Squirt gives more details about this erogenous zone.

9) You have two hands.

Try to use both of your hands as much as you can. Although you can use one hand to rub the clitoris and the other to massage the vagina, you can also use the other hand to fondle her breasts or stroke her thighs and butt.

10) If all else fails, have her tell you what she likes.

If you're not sure what your lover likes, just ask her. She can tell you, or even show you how she touches herself or how she likes to be fingered. This is obviously easier with a woman you already know and are comfortable with, but don't be too shy to ask a new friend what turns her on.

Being a woman really does help when you're with another woman. For the most part, you can follow your instincts. Have fun!
