3 Reasons Why Lesbians Have More Orgasms Than Straight Women

Lesbians have more orgasms than straight women. It's not even close, but why? Since it's not likely that lesbian women are physiologically different from straight women, there must be another explanation.  There seem to be the three main reasons why lesbians have more orgasms than straight women.

1) Lesbian sex focuses on stimulation, not penetration.

Straight couples tend to rely on p;penetrative sex to reach orgasm, despite the fact that most women can’t orgasm from penetration alone. Lesbians engage in a wide range of sexual activities to arouse their lovers, leading to a higher frequency of orgasm.

2) Lesbian sex lasts longer.

A recent study examined the duration of sexual encounters in same-sex and straight couples. Lesbian couples reported an average length of sexual encounter to be somewhere between 30-45 minutes, while couples in other types of relationships tended to average around 15-30 minutes per sexual encounter. Another study reported that women in lesbian sexual encounters reported an average duration of 57 minutes. The longer duration of lesbian sexual encounter (compared to straight encounters) gives women time to become fully aroused, increasing the likelihood of achieving an orgasm.

3) Lesbians perform oral sex more often and are better at it.

Achieving orgasm is more complicated than just duration, though. A recent study showed that twice as many women orgasm from oral sex as from intercourse. Lesbians report using cunnilingus more frequently than straight couples. Given their inherent advantage of knowing what is likely to feel good to another woman along with lots of practice, many lesbians become very good at performing oral sex. This leads to lots of orgasms for their lovers.

There are probably other reasons that lesbians have more orgasms than straight women, but these seem to be the three major ones. None of these reasons mean that women in straight relationships can't have as many orgasms as lesbians. They just don't on average, which may explain why so many women are experimenting with lesbian sex.
